We often wonder if the sky and moving water puts people off these animations but the feedback has mainly been good. We could have made a flag with just a transparent background that could be planted onto a coloured web page background but in this sort of waving animation the flag always seems to have a ragged edge. You get a much cleaner animation with our technique and with a 120 square gif it is very easy to plant into the content on your page. Sometimes we make other animations with a national flag on and our animated teddy bears and monkeys have quite a good selection of these " proud to be from their country " animated gifs
