Well that’s it, Christmas over for another year, we have had plenty of snow beforehand but sadly it was not a white Christmas.
Dave has made friends by email with Sue Clinker, a fantastic portrait artist and has included her work in some rather unusual animations.
Do not forget , we have a nice selection of happy new year animations, all updated for 2010.
We should have been in Cyprus to see the new year in but because Dave had been “unwell” we had to cancel it.

Happy New Year to all our visitors

This week Dave has made some “thanks for sharing” animations, he is so much better and as he slowly building up his strength again and not back at work yet he has a little more time on the computer.
Our good friend Stan Laundon contacted us and said have a look at the BBC’s breathing spaces Christmas video, it had us in stitches, especially the squirrels.
It can be seen on his home page here.

Next week we may have some special celebrity portrait animations

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our visitors

After the fright of last week Dave should be fine and dandy for a few more years yet.
He has got together the “as much use as” animations and now I have him at home for a few weeks I will gradually allow him back onto the computer.
One thing for sure, he is going to get an extended Christmas holiday to gradually build up his strength again.
We will have to wait and see if any new animations appear next week, who can say?

This week we were contacted by “Murial Rurial” a lady who writes articles in the voice, a community magazine for Borough Green sponsored by the Church of the Good Shepherd. She had given permission for us to publish one of her articles on our website but has now objected to the animation of Father Christmas sitting on the chimney pot on the same page as her article, (see header above). This animation is by far our most popular one, so rather than remove it we removed her article.

We apologise for the fact that Dave has not updated our website with new animations this week but he has been quite ill and has just returned from 8 days in Maidstone hospital. He says the attention he received was fantastic and that he will elaborate further with an article about it.

Leave Dave to it and what do we get… animated pictures, probably just an excuse to post one of his water colours of our daughter when she was a baby.

I was looking at some of our rival animation sites and notice that some have animated cursors. I suggested this to Dave and he does not like them, but maybe some of you out there would. We could use some of our animations make them smaller and convert them.
He also has been working on some “as much use as animations” ie chocolate teapot so maybe that’s what we will see next week.

Some of our regular visitors may have noticed that we publicized a certain website that had copied our complete website and claimed it as their own.
The website owner was a young man who did not know this was illegal and he has apologized and removed all copied pages.
We have removed all bad publicity about this site and compliment the young mans honesty.
We encourage people to copy our animations but not the whole website.
This week Dave has made some Google PR ratings animations, stick one your blog or website and let the world know what your PR is.
I have had no ideas for animations for next so I have given Dave a free hand. That could mean we will end up with some sort of animation that could turn out to be completely useless.

Good old Dave, he made my house and added legs to it as I suggested.
We have some “We are moving” animations now.
The old boy keeps playing with the glass sphere effect, he is proud of it but you can over do it and this bubble, marble, sphere or whatever you want to call it is cropping up everywhere. He now has one on the home page with Father Christmas in. I asked where the falling snow was and cannot repeat his answer; these London boys can be very uncouth at times.
We also added a Google PR animation to our home page, now that is something different,so maybe the whole range of PR ratings could be added as a web page next week.

So far Dave has only made one “we are moving” animation because he has been updating the New Year animations and has added a page for Remembrance Day.

We should all spare a thought for those military people who have defended this little Island we call Great Britain, give generously and wear the red poppy with pride.

With any luck the “moving” animations should appear next week, I suggested a walking house but Dave said the idea was rubbish.
