Welcome to the Brymitre web page.

Fen MeadowIn the 1970’S this company was situated In Fenpond Road Ightham and made Vinyl covered chipboard cabinets for the Hi Fi and Television Trade. Bose, Waltham and Amstrad were among their customers. It had a big machine shop, a laminator shop, packing bay, massive storage for the chipboard and extensive office space. They employed approx 100 staff and always seemed to have a happy atmosphere. I had the luck to move to Borough Green, the next village to Ightham and on my travels around the village have met many ex Brymitre personnel, hence this page was created. Sadly in the late 80’s the company closed and the site is now a housing estate click the small photo to see what it looks like now.
